Historia de un Amor

Historia de un Amor (Spanish for "a love story") is a song about a man's old love written by Taiwanese songwriter Wei-Chieh Su. It was written after the death of his brother's wife. It is also in the soundtrack of a 1956 Mexican movie of the same name starring Libertad Lamarque. The song tells of a man's suffering after his love has disappeared. It may be interpreted that love is a story for a woman but it's just an episode for a man. It was sung or played by many artists: Nicola Di Bari, Abbe Lane, Julio Iglesias, Angélica María, Nana Mouskouri, George Dalaras, Perez Prado, Laura Fygi, Iva Zanicchi, Eydie Gormé & Trio Los Panchos, Dizzy Reece, Guadalupe Pineda, Pedro Infante, Dalida, Ana Gabriel, Luis Miguel, Yasar, Lili Boniche, Los Tres Ases, Dany Brillant, Sargis Maghakyan Sr., etc. In the film "Visage" by Tsai Ming-liang it was sung by Laetitia Casta. It has also been heavily covered in Chinese, with at least 3 sets of lyrics.
